Richard Burnley, the Managing Director of Kingspan Insulation, said:
“Kingspan has a great deal to contribute to shaping policy as we approach and move beyond the next General Election. Energy measures in buildings are by far the most effective way of meeting a range of energy policy goals, but can only do so against a long-term, stable and predictable policy framework. We are pleased to be part of the SEA to join a growing public consensus promoting the economic opportunities available from insulating our buildings properly, controlling the energy we use in them better, and producing more of our energy sustainably from buildings themselves”
Dave Sowden, Chief Executive of the Sustainable Energy Association:
“We are delighted to welcome Kingspan to the ranks of our Executive Members. Through its varied divisions, Kingspan is a well-known and significant global manufacturer of products and building services solutions ranging from insulation through to solar panels, as well as novel heating and ventilation solutions for both the home and non-residential buildings.
“The addition of a company with depth and breadth on this scale will be another boost to our key message – namely that there is a significant economic prize available if we focus our energy policy first on our buildings.
“We look forward to working with Kingspan and the rest of our members to continue to get this key message across and develop a long-term, stable policy framework for investment in building-level energy measures”.
