This publication details our recommendations for how to unlock innovation within the retrofit sector, and how to improve the innovator route to market within the retrofit sector. Innovation is an integral part of the transition to net zero and the prosperity of our journey there. Creating more efficient, smaller, quieter, cheaper (to make and run), easier to install, more comfortable, less carbon intensive solutions is how we will deliver the best outcomes for every person and building in the UK. Without innovation, the majority of technologies we use today would not have existed. This is why it is critically important to support innovators to ensure that suitable products can be successful and accessible to consumers.
