Sustainable Energy Association welcomes new members

Categories: Press Release

AES Sustainability Consultants is a leading technical consultancy that delivers value engineered solutions across the housebuilding and construction industries, providing high quality advice and technical support throughout the lifecycle of a development, from land buying and planning stages right through to post-construction testing and certification.

Canetis Technologies deliver energy efficient products that substantially reduce gas and water utility bills for households and businesses. The unique GasSaver™ flu heat recovery technology achieves high efficiency for gas boilers, thereby reducing carbon emissions and bills. Since 2004 Canetis has reduced actual spend on energy use for thousands of customers and helped property developers secure a pass mark on SAP – the UK Government’s calculated methodology for energy efficiency assessment of buildings.

Finn Geotherm are one of the longest established renewable heating companies in the UK. They have developed a high level of expertise in ground source heat pumps and air source heat pumps. Established in 2006, the company has gained years of installation experience across virtually every type of property imaginable, creating successful installations for homes and businesses of all ages, styles and sizes.

By securing a sustainable source of annually harvested crop from growers, Terravesta supplies whole bale power stations with Miscanthus, providing a reliable, home grown biomass fuel source for large energy providers on a long-term contract basis. While large power stations remain the strongest source of demand for Miscanthus, Terravesta sees an opportunity for the crop as an attractive fuel and heat source for the wider energy market.

Lesley Rudd, SEA Chief Executive commented,

“I would like to welcome AES, Canetis, Finn Geotherm and Terravesta to the Sustainable Energy Association. These new members, who are all focused on different aspects of sustainable energy, are great additions to our organisation. They demonstrate the breadth of our membership and our whole house, technology agnostic approach. The SEA focuses on the right solution rather than a particular solution and works with policy makers to enhance existing policies and develop new ones to ensure our homes, buildings and communities are healthy and sustainable. I look forward to working with these new members to achieve a more energy efficient and sustainable future.”
